Jamie Murray & John Peers entered the ATP 500 event and were the third seeds. In the first round the Brit/Australian drew wild card pair Mitchell Krueger & Ethan Quinn. The Americans found the seeds too strong in the first set, as Murray & Peers dominated and took the lead. The second set saw the Americans play better and stay with the seeds. Eventually, though, Murray & Peers broke serve and moved into the next round in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.
The quarter-final saw the third seeds against Luke Johnson & Sander Arends. The Brit/Dutch pair got off to the better star, breaking the serve of the seeds to take the lead. Murray & Peers re-grouped in the second set. Playing better the seeds stayed with Johnson & Arends and forced a tiebreak. In the breaker, the seeds edged through and levelled up the match. The final set was a match tiebreak. This saw Murray & Peers break serve and hold on to book a spot in the next round 4-6, 7-6(9), 10-6.
In the semi-final the third seeds were against qualifiers Christian Harrison & Evan King. The Americans had already defeated the second seeds en route and were looking for another scalp. Harrison & King started well and broke the seeds to take the lead. The second set went even better for the qualifiers. Dominating the set the Americans barely put a foot wrong and moved into the final 6-4, 6-2.
