SHARM-EL-SHEIKH, EGYPT – Emilie Lindh Gallagher partnered with Aleksandra Pospelova and claimed the title. The pair were the top seeds.

ATP/WTA

Neal Skupski & Wesley Koolhof were the top seeds in Miami. Their first round match saw them against Jason Kubler & Rinky Hijikata. The Brit/Dutch pair dominated the Australians from the outset and took the match in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

The second round saw Skupski & Koolhof against Mackenzie McDonald & Botic Van De Zandschulp. The American/Dutch pair stayed close in the first set, before the top seeds broke serve and took the lead. The second set was every closer, with McDonald & Van De Zandschulp forcing a tiebreak. The top seeds edged the breaker and into the next round 6-4, 7-6(5).

In the quarter-final the Brit/Dutch pair were against Edouard Roger-Vasselin & Santiago Gonzalez. The French/Mexican pair were broken by Skupski & Koolhof in the first set and the top seeds had the lead. The second set saw Roger-Vasselin & Gonzalez forced a tiebreak. In the breaker, the French/Mexican edged ahead and levelled up the match. The final set was a match tiebreak. Roger-Vasselin & Gonzalez took the win 4-6, 7-6(5), 10-5.

Lloyd Glasspool & Harri Heliovaara were the fifth seeds and were against Andreas Mies & Maxime Cressy in the first round. The Brit/Fin broke early in the first set and took the lead. The second set saw the seeds dominate and move into the next round 6-3, 6-1.

In the second round the Brit/Fin were against Momir Kecmanovic & Alexander Bublik. The seeds dominated from the start and were soon on top. Glasspool & Heliovaara had no trouble overcoming Kecmanovic & Bublik and moved into the next round 6-2, 6-2.

The quarter-final saw the fifth seeds against Nathaniel Lammons & Jackson Withrow. The first set was very close, and went to a tiebreak. In the breaker Lammons & Withrow eased through and took the lead. The second set saw Glasspool & Heliovaara break early and level up the match. The match tiebreak was very close, but it was Lammons & Withrow who edged through 7-6(3), 3-6, 11-9.

Jamie Murray & Michael Venus were defeated by Nathaniel Lammons & Jackson Withrow in the second round 7-6(2), 6-4.

Joe Salisbury & Rajeev Ram were defeated by Tommy Paul & Ben Shelton in the second round 6-3. 6-4.

Alicia Barnett & Olivia Nicholls were defeated by Ingrid Gamarra Martins & Wu Fang-Hsien in the first round in Mexico 5-7, 6-4, 10-0.

 

 

Doubles Round Up

Emilie Lindh Gallagher teamed up with Aleksandra Pospelova for the ITF event in Sharm-El-Shiekh and were the top seeds. In the first round the top seeds were against Carlotta Moccia & Maria Sysoeva. Lindh Gallagher & Pospelova broke serve of Moccia & Sysoeva to take the lead. The second set saw the top seeds dominate and move into the next round in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.

In the quarter-final the top seeds were against Sara Milanese & Anastasiya Zaparyniuk. The top seeds dominated the first set and took the lead. The second was a little closer as the Italian/Ukrainian stayed with the seeds until they managed to break and take the match 6-2, 6-3.

The semi-final saw the top seeds against Ekaterina Kazionova & Victoria Mikhaylova. Lindh Gallagher & Pospelova broke early and took the first set. The second saw Kazionova & Mikhaylova stay close, and it looked to be heading to a tiebreak. However, the top seeds managed to get the break of serve and move into the final 6-3, 7-5.

In the final the top seeds were against the second seeds Jessica Failla & Anna Ulyashchenko. The top seeds dominated the first set and took the lead. The second set saw Failla & Ulyashchenko re-group and break the serve of the top seeds to level up the match. In the match tiebreak the Americans stayed close to the top seeds, but eventually, Lindh Gallagher & Pospelova edged through for the win 6-2, 3-6, 11-9.

Doubles Results

Jasmine Conway with Renata Jamrichova were defeated by Ayla Aksu & Leyla Nilufer Elmas in the first round in Sharm-El-Sheikh 7-6(3), 6-3.

Matthew Howse & Joel Pierleoni defeated Cengiz Aksu & Tuncay Duran in the final in Sharm-El-Sheikh 7-6(2), 6-1.

Ryan Peniston with Sebastian Ofner were defeated by Marcelo Demoliner & Nikola Cacic in the first round in Sanremo 7-6, 7-6.

Luke Johnson with Sam Verbeek were defeated by Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi & Dustin Brown in the semi-final in Lille 7-6, 7-6.

George Houghton & Joshua Paris were defeated by Giles Hussey & Ben Jones in the quarter-final in Trento 6-2, 7-5.

Charles Broom & Anton Matusevich were defeated by Giles Hussey & Ben Jones in the semi-final in Trento 6-3, 6-4.

Giles Hussey & Ben Jones were defeated by Dan Little & Mark Whitehouse in the final in Trento 7-6, 6-3.

Sean Hodkin & Tiran Sanghera were defeated by August Holmgren & Christian Sigsgaard in the quarter-final in Saint Dizier 6-1, 6-4.

Emily Appleton with Julia Lohoff were defeated by Freya Christie & Ali Collins in the first round in Croissy-Beaubourg 7-6, 7-5.

Freya Christie & Ali Collins were defeated by Greet Minnen & Yanina Wickmayer in the semi-final in Croissy-Beaubourg 7-5, 6-2.

Jodie Burrage with Berfu Cengiz were defeated by Greet Minnen & Yanina Wickmayer in the final in Croissy-Beaubourg 6-4, 6-4.

Ella McDonald & Talia Neilson-Gatenby were defeated by Elaine Genovese & Savanna Ly-Nguyen in the semi-final in Monastir 6-2, 4-6, 12-10.

Emily Webley-Smith with Radka Zelnickova were defeated by Harriet Dart & Andreea Mitu in the quarter-final in Murksa Sobota 6-2, 7-6.

Harriet Dart with Andreea Mitu defeated Magali Kempen & Xenia Knoll in the final in Murska Sobota 0-0 (RET).
