Ken Skupski teamed up with Jonny O’Mara and entered the ATP Challenger event in France. The Brits were seeded fourth. In the first round they drew Quentin Halys & Tristan Lamasine. The French pair were unable to get anything on the serve of the Brits in the first set, as Skupski & O’Mara dominated. The second set was a little better for Halys & Lamasine, but the seeds still broke serve to move into the next round 6-0, 6-2.
In the quarter-final the Brits were against Purav Raja & Antonio Šančić. The fourth seeds were on top form playing against the Indian/Croatian pair. Skupski & O’Mara got the break of serve needed in both sets as Raja & Šančić were unable to keep with them. It was the seeds that moved into the next round 6-3, 6-4.
The semi-final saw the Brits against Roman Jebavý & Igor Zelenay. The Czech/Slovak pair tried to stay with the seeds, however Skupski & O’Mara were too strong. The seeds had little problem dispatching Jebavý & Zelenay. Breaking in both sets the seeds moved into the final 6-3, 6-3.
In the final the Brits were against Sander Arends & David Pel. The Dutch pair found themselves dominated by Skupski & O’Mara in the first set. Only winning one game. The unseeded pair tried to re-group in the next set, and put up a fight. However, the Brits secured the needed break of serve to claim the title in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.
