ESTORIL, PORTUGAL – Jamie Murray teamed up with Michael Venus and the pair were the top seeds. The Brit/Kiwi made the semi-final before being defeated.

Jamie Murray teamed up with Michael Venus and the pair were top seeds. The Brit/Kiwi were drawn against Robin Haase and Lukas Kubot in the first round. The first set was toe to toe as both pairs fought hard, however it was the top seed that secured the vital break of serve to take the lead. The second set saw the Dutch/Polish pair dominate. Haase & Kubot broke serve more or less at will and levelled up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak Murray & Venus got the break and stayed ahead, booking a spot in the next round 7-5, 2-6, 10-5.
In the quarter-final the top seeds were against Aleksandr Nedovyesov & Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi. Murray & Venus battled hard, and secured the break of serve needed to take the lead. Nedovyesov & Qureshi tried to fight back in the second set, but the top seeds broke again to book a spot in the semi-final 6-4, 6-4.
The semi-final saw the Brit/Kiwi against Nuno Borges & Francisco Cabral. The Portuguese pair dominated the first set, as the top seeds struggled to hold serve. The second set was a little closer. Murray & Venus fought hard but Borges & Cabral secured the break of serve 6-2, 6-4.
