Jack Findel-Hawkins and Ryan Peniston teamed up together for the ITF event in California. In the first round the Brits drew Antoine Bellier & Gijs Brouwer. The Swiss/Dutch pairing stayed with the Brits for most of the first set. However, Findel-Hawkins & Peniston obtained the break at the end of the set to move ahead. In the second set the Brits were able to break easier, with Bellier & Brouwer unable to get back into the match. The Brits moved into the quarter-final 7-5, 6-3.
The quarter-final had the Brits facing American pairing George Goldhoff & Austin Rapp. Findel-Hawkins & Peniston had little trouble in breaking the Americans to take the lead. The second set was much like the first with Goldhoff & Rapp trying hard to get back into the match. However, it was the Brits that progressed into the semi-final 6-4, 6-3.
In the semi-final Findel-Hawkins & Peniston faced the top seeds Hunter Johnson & Yates Johnson. The Americans had no answer in the first set as the Brits dominated and lost only one game. The seeds fought hard in the second set, forcing a tiebreak. However, it was the Brits that took the tiebreak to move into the final in straight sets 6-1, 7-6(4).
The final saw Findel-Hawkins & Peniston against the third seeds Boris Arias & Sekou Bangoura. The Bolivian/American pairing were too strong for the Brits and dominated both sets. Despite their best efforts the Brits were unable to get back into the match. Arias & Bangoura took the title 6-2, 6-2.
