Outside of the US Open Harry Wendelken teamed up with Benjamin Hannestad and entered the ITF event in Portugal. The Brit/Dane were unseeded.

In the first round Wendelken & Hannestad were against Portuguese pairing Filipe Grebentsov & Nuno Pinheiro. The Brit/Dane were able to secure a break of serve against the Portuguese and take the lead. The second set saw Grebentsov & Pinheiro tried to fight back in the second set, but the Brit/Dane again managed to break serve to take the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.

The quarter-final saw the Brit/Dane against the second seeds Scott Duncan & Kelsey Stevenson. The second seeds broke the serve of Wendelken & Hannestad and took the lead. The second set saw the Brit/Dane re-group and stay with Duncan & Stevenson forcing a tiebreak. In the tiebreak Wendelken & Hannestad edged through and levelled up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw the Brit/Dane dominate and book a spot in the semi-final 4-6, 7-6(5), 10-1.

In the semi-final the Brit/Dane were against Arthur Fery & Sasikumar Mukund. The Brit/Indian struggled from the start, in fact only one game was played before Fery & Mukund were forced to retire from the match. Not the way that Wendelken & Hannestad would want to make the final, but the Brit/Dane moved on 1-0 (RET).

The final saw Wendelken & Hannestad against fourth seeds Diego Fernandez Flores & Adria Soriano Barrera. The Chilean/Spaniard broke the Brit/Dane in the first set and took the lead. The second set saw the Brit/Dane dominate and level up the match. The final match tiebreak ebbed and flowed, until eventually Wendelken & Hannestad broke and took the title 4-6, 6-1, 10-7.
