BORDEAUX, FRANCE – Lloyd Glasspool & Harri Heliovaara entered the ATP Challenger and were the top seeds. The Brits dropped only one set en route.
ATP/WTA
In Rome Neal Skupski & Wesley Koolhof were the top seeds. Their first round opponents were Matwe Middelkoop & Andreas Mies. The Brit/Dutch were held in the first set and the Dutch/German forced a tiebreak. In the breaker Middlekoop & Mies eased through and took the lead. The second set saw Skupski & Koolhof re-group and break serve to level up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw the Brit/Dutch ease through and book a spot in the next round 6-7(3), 6-3, 10-4.
In the second round Skupsi & Koolhof were against Simone Bolelli & Fabio Fogninni. The Italians were no match for the top seeds in the first set, as Skupski & Koolhof broke serve to take the lead. The second set was tougher and went to a tiebreak. In the breaker the top seeds edged through into the next round 6-4, 7-6(5).
The quarter-final saw the Brit/Dutch against Jason Kubler & Alex De Minaur. The Australians stayed with the top seeds at the start of the first set, before Skupski & Koolhof eventually broke serve. The second set was more of the same as the top seeds broke through to book a spot in the next round 6-4, 6-4.
In the semi-final the top seeds were against Robin Hasse & Botic Van De Zandschulp. Skupski & Koolohof fought hard and took the first set to a tiebreak. Unfortunately, Hasse & Van De Zandschulp dominated the breaker and took the lead. The second set saw the Dutch pair break serve and take the win 7-6(2), 6-4.
Challenger & ITF
Over in Bordeaux Lloyd Glasspool & Harri Heliovaara were the top seeds. Their first opponents were Hendrik Jebens & Constantin Frantzen. The first set saw the top seeds break serve early and take the lead. The second set was much closer, as Jebens & Frantzen fought back. The Germans levelled up by breaking the top seeds. In the ensuing match tiebreak Glasspool & Heliovaara dominated and took the match 6-3, 5-7, 10-2.
The quarter-final saw Glasspool & Heliovaara were against Albano Olivetti & Jeremy Chardy. The first set was very tight, but the top seeds secured the vital break of serve to take the lead. The second set was easier for the top seeds, as Glasspool & Heliovaara broke easily and took the match 7-5, 6-4.
In the semi-final the top seeds were against Pierre-Hugues Herbert & Nicolas Mahut. Again, the first set was very close, with Glasspool & Heliovaara getting the vital break of serve right at the end of the set and took the lead. the second set was a little easier, as the top seeds managed to break earlier and book a spot in the final 7-5, 6-3.
The final saw the top seeds against the third seeds Sadio Doumbia & Fabien Reboul. The first set was fairly close, as Glasspool & Heliovaara finally managed to break serve and take the lead. The second set was much quicker for the top seeds, as they dominated from the outset and lifted the trophy 6-4, 6-2.

Lloyd Glasspool with Harri Heliovaara were defeated by Mackenzie McDonald & Frances Tiafoe in the second round in Rome 4-6, 6-2, 11-9.
Dan Evans with Ben Shelton were defeated by Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos in the second round in Rome 6-1, 7-6(1).
Jamie Murray with Michael Venus were defeated by Robin Hasse & Botic Van De Zandschulp in the quarter-final in Rome 3-6, 7-6(3), 10-6.
Joe Salisbury with Rajeev Ram were defeated by Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos in the quarter-final in Rome 6-4, 5-7, 10-6.
Ryan Peniston with Michael Geerts were defeated by Rafael Matos & Francisco Cabral in the quarter-final in Bordeaux 6-2, 7-5.
Charles Broom with Tim Sandkaulen were defeated by Theo Arribage & Luca Sanchez in the quarter-final in Tunis 7-5, 7-5.
Joshua Paris with Constantin Bittoun Kouzmine were defeated by Pedro Martinez & Mark Vervoot in the first round in Oeiras 3-6, 6-3, 10-5.
Marcus Willis & Scott Duncan were defeated by Luke Johnson & Sam Verbeek in the quarter-final in Oeiras 6-2, 6-4.
Luke Johnson with Sam Verbeek defeated Henrique Rocha & Jaime Faria in the final in Oeiras 6-7, 7-5, 10-6.
Stuart Parker with Jakub Paul defeated Martin Damm & Alex Rybakov in the final in Prague 3-6, 6-3, 10-6.
Aidan McHugh with Keegan Smith were defeated by Jody Maginley & Justin Roberts in the quarter-final Xalapa 6-7(7), 7-5, 10-8.
Emily Appleton with Bibiane Schoofs were defeated by Angela Fita Boluda & Arantxa Rus in the first round in Madrid 6-4, 6-4.
