RAANANA, ISRAEL – Giles Hussey & Ben Jones were the top seeds in the ITF event. The Brits lifted the title without dropping a set.

Giles Hussey & Ben Jones were the top seeds in Raanana. In the first round the Brits were against Israeli pairing Itay Feigin & Raz Katz. The Brits dominated the first set, as the Israelis struggled to get into the match. The second set saw Feigin & Katz try to fight back. However, Hussey & Jones secured the vital break of serve to move into the next round 6-2, 6-3.

The quarter-final saw Hussey & Jones against Joshua Luck & Ryuki Matsuda. The South African/Japanese pair pushed the Brits hard in the first set. The top seeds finally secured the vital break of serve towards the end of the first set. The second set saw Hussey & Jones step things up and dominate the set. The Brits took the win and moved into the semi-final 7-5, 6-2.

In the semi-final the Brits were against Israeli pairing Eyal Shyovitz & Gur Trakhtenberg. Just like the last round, their opponents proved a tough nut to crack at first. However, Hussey & Jones made the breakthrough and took the first set. The second set was again dominated by the Brits as the progressed to the final in another straight set win 7-5, 6-2.

The final saw the top seeds against Robin Catry & Timothy Gray. The French/Aussie pairing stayed close with the Brits at first, however, Hussey & Jones made the breakthrough and took the lead. The second set saw the experience of the top seeds shine through, as the Brits again dominated and lifted the title 6-4, 6-2.

Doubles Round Up

Josef Southcombe & Mattias Southcombe were defeated by Adrian Bodmer & Luca Castelnuovo in the first round in Raanana 6-2, 6-1.

Matilda Mutavdzic with Maria Bondarenko were defeated by Sofya Lansere & Maria Timofeeva in the quarter-final in Raanana 0-0 (RET).

Henry Patten & Julian Cash were defeated by  Aleksandr Nedovyesov & Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi in the first round in Eastbourne 6-4, 7-6(4).

Ken Skupski & Jonny O’Mara were defeated by Mate Pavic & Nikola Mektic in the first round in Eastbourne 6-4, 6-4.

Lloyd Glasspool with Harri Heliovaara were defeated by Jamie Murray & Bruno Soares in the quarter-final in Eastbourne 6-4, 7-5.

Heather Watson & Harriet Dart were defeated by Jeļena Ostapenko & Lyudmyla Kichenok in the quarter-final in Eastbourne 4-6, 6-1, 10-3.

Jamie Murray with Bruno Soares were defeated by Mate Pavic & Nikola Mektic in the semi-final in Eastbourne 6-4, 6-4.

Emily Appleton with Alexandra Osbourne were defeated by Rebeca Pereira & Daniela Seguel in the final in Perigueux 6-4, 6-1.

Joe Tyler with Kareem Al Allaf were defeated by Mac Kiger & Patrick Maloney in the first round in South Bend 6-4, 6-4.

Oliver Okonkwo with Perry Gregg were defeated by Colin Markes & Shuichi Sekiguchi in the quarter-final in South Bend 7-6(9), 6-4.

Johannus Monday with Adam Walton were defeated by Siddhant Banthia & James Kent Trotter in the quarter-final in South Bend 6-3, 3-6, 10-5.

Alice Gillan with Lauren Proctor were defeated by Allura Zamarripa & Maribella Zamarripa in the quarter-final in Wichita 6-4, 6-2.

Josh Reynolds with Nicolas Rafael Goldberg Alvani were defeated by Adam Jurajda & Wang Chukang in the first round in Monastir 6-3, 6-2.

Kristina Paskauskas with Aliona Falei were defeated by Diana Chehoudi & Hanna Vinahradeva in the first round in Monastir 2-6, 6-2, 10-8.

Brydan Klein with Charlie Camus were defeated by Dong Bohua & Wang Xiaofei in the quarter-final in Monastir 6-3, 6-2.

Alisha Reayer with Camila Romero were defeated by Chiho Mushika & Mao Mushika in the quarter-final in Monastir 7-5, 4-6, 12-10.

Emily Webley-Smith with Ingrid Gamarra Martins were defeated by Jessy Rompies & Olivia Tjandramulla in the final in Cantanhede 6-2, 7-6(1).

Eleanor Baglow with Lucia Martinez Gomez were defeated by Bianca Behulova & Katarina Kuzmova in the first round in Bucharest 6-2, 4-6, 10-4.
