WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA, USA – Julian Cash & Robert Galloway were runners up in ATP 250 event. The Brit/American pair lost to the fourth seeds.
Julian Cash & Robert Galloway entered the ATP 250 event and were unseeded. In the first round the Brit/American were against eighth seeds Lloyd Glasspool & Sadio Doumbia. The Brit/American pair broke early in the first set and the seeds were unable to break back. Glasspool & Doumbia tried to fight back in the second set, keeping close to the unseeded pair. Eventually, though, Cash & Galloway secured the vital break of serve and moved into the next round in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
The quarter-final saw Cash & Galloway against German pairing Constantin Frantzen & Hendrik Jebens. Much like the first round match, the Brit/American broke early and took the lead. Frantzen & Jebens could not get back into the set. The second set was closer, as the Germans managed to stay with Cash & Galloway. However, once again, the Brit/American broke serve just at the right time and moved in to the next round 6-3, 6-4.
In the semi-final Cash & Galloway were against Jamie Murray & John Peers. This was a very close match. The first set saw the Brit/Australian break serve just as it looked to be heading to a tiebreak and take the lead. The second set was very similar, but this time it was Cash & Galloway who broke to prevent a tiebreak, levelling up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak was really close. The Brit/American just edged through to take the match 5-7, 7-5, 10-8.
The final saw the Brit/American against the fourth seeds Jackson Withrow & Nathaniel Lammons. Cash & Galloway stayed with the Americans well in the first set. However, the seeds managed to break serve to take the lead. The second set saw the seeds break early and although the Brit/American pair tried, they were not able to break back. The seeds lifted the title in straight sets 6-4, 6-3.
