Julian Cash & Henry Patten entered the ATP 250 event in Texas and were the third seeds. Their first round opponents were Emilio Gomez & Hugo Dellien. The seeds dominated the first set as the Ecuadorian/Bolivian pair struggled to get into the match. The second set was a little closer as Gomez & Dellien managed to hold serve. However, eventually, Cash & Patten broke through and took the match in straight sets 6-1, 6-4.

In the quarter-final the Brits were against Facundo Bagnis & Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentines were unable to take to the court and handed a walkover to the third seeds. Cash & Patten made the semi-final without having to hit a ball. 0-0 (RET).

The semi-final saw Cash & Patten against unseeded pair Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela & Robert Galloway. The Mexican/American pair stayed with the Brits in the first set and forced a tiebreak. The breaker was very close, but it was Reyes-Varela & Galloway edged through to take the lead. The second set proved just as close, and again went to a tiebreak. This time the seeds eased through to level the match. The final set match tiebreak saw the seeds take an early lead and claim match 6-7(6), 7-6(4), 10-5.

In the final the Brits were against Australians Jordan Thompson & Max Purcell. Cash & Patten got off to a great start, breaking the Aussies to take the lead. The second set saw Thompson & Purcell re-group and break the seeds to level up the match. The match tiebreak saw the Australians take the lead, and unfortunately the seeds couldn’t break back.
