MOUILLERON LE CAPTIF, FRANCE – Julian Cash teamed up with Robert Galloway and were the top seeds in the Challenger event. The pair claimed the title without facing another seeded pair.

Julian Cash teamed up with Robert Galloway and the pair were the top seeds. The Brit/American pair drew Hunter Reese & Szymon Walkow in the first round. The first set saw the seeds break early and take the lead. The second set saw Reese & Walkow re-group and break serve to level up the match. The final set tiebreak saw the top seeds edge through and take the match 6-3, 4-6, 10-8.

In the quarter-final the Brit/American were against Roman Jebavy & Petr Nouza. The Czech pair found the top seeds too strong in the first set, as Cash & Galloway broke early and took the lead. The second set was much closer though, as Jebavy & Nouza stayed toe to toe with the seeds. The Czech pair forced a tiebreak, but the top seeds eased through to take the match 6-3, 7-6(2).

The semi-final saw the top seeds against Ivan Liutarevich & Vladyslav Manafov. Cash & Galloway battled against Liutarevich & Manafov in the first set, which looked to be heading to a tiebreak. However, the Brit/American broke serve just when needed and took the lead. The second set saw the seeds break early and book a spot in the final 7-5, 6-3.

In the final, the top seeds were against Maxime Cressy & Otto Virtanen. Cash & Galloway broke serve in the first set and took the lead. The second set saw the American/Fin fight back. Both pairs stayed toe to toe and it looked to be heading to a tiebreak. However, Cressy & Virtanen broke right at the end and levelled up the match. The final match tiebreak was very close. Eventually, the top seeds edged though and took the title 6-4, 5-7, 12-10.

 

 

Doubles Round Up

Charles Broom & Henry Patten were defeated by Maxime Cressy & Otto Virtanen in the quarter-final in Mouilleron le Captif 4-6, 7-5, 10-4.

Joshua Paris with Daniel Cukierman were defeated by Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha & Divij Sharan in the quarter-final in Alicante 6-1, 6-3.

Billy Harris with Akira Santillan were defeated by Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan & John-Patrick Smith in the quarter-final in Alicante 6-2, 6-2.

Connor Thomson with Parikshit Somani were defeated by Jaime Faria & Henrique Rocha in the first round in Lisbon 6-4, 6-0.

Scott Duncan & Marcus Willis were defeated by Oriol Roca Batalla & Timo Stodder in the quarter-final in Lisbon 6-3, 6-4.

Johannus Monday & Mark Whitehouse were defeated by Luke Johnson & Skander Mansouri in the first round in Tiburon 6-1, 6-3.

Luke Johnson with Skander Mansouri defeated William Blumberg & Luis David Martinez in the final in Tiburon 6-2, 6-3.

Millen Hurrion with Finn Reynolds were defeated by Loan Lestir & Niels Villard in the quarter-final in Nevers 0-0 (RET).

Freya Christie with Yuliana Lizarazo were defeated by Mariia Bergen & Daria Lopatetska in the quarter-final in Reims 6-4, 4-6, 12-10.

Emily Appleton & Sarah Beth Grey were defeated by Julia Avdeeva & Anna Chekanskaya in the semi-final in Reims 5-7, 6-3, 10-5.

Soumeya Anane with Marleen Tilgner were defeated by Nefisa Berberovic & Vasanti Shinde in the quarter-final in Baza 6-1, 6-2.

Samantha Murray Sharan with Olivia Gadecki defeated Lea Boskovic & Angela Fita Boluda in the final in Baza 7-5, 4-6, 10-4.

Joe Cooper & Sean Drewry were defeated by Finn Murgett & Federico Salomone in the first round in Sharm El Sheikh 6-4, 6-3.

Amelia Fortescue & Annabelle Lammas were defeated by Zuzanna Bednarz & Evgeniya Burdina in the first round in Sharm El Sheikh 6-2, 6-4.
