In the ensuing match tiebreak it was the Brit/Swiss that edged through and moved into the next round 7-6(4), 4-6, 11-9.
In the quarter-final Burrage & Teichmann were against the top seeds Elena-Gabriela Ruse & Alycia Parks. The seeds stayed close at the start before the Brit/Swiss broke serve and took the lead. The second set was more of the same. Ruse & Parks were unable to get anything on the serve of Burrage & Teichmann, who eased through into the next round in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
