WIESBADEN, GERMANY – Emily Appleton & Julia Lohoff entered the ITF event and reached the final. The Brit/German pairing didn’t drop a set en route to the final.

In Madrid Neal Skupski & Wesley Koolhof were the top seeds and drew Germans Kevin Krawietz & Tim Puetz. The Brit/Dutch pair dominated the first set to take the lead. The second set was closer and went to a tiebreak. In the breaker Skupski & Koolhof edged through and took the win 6-2, 7-6.
In the second round the top seeds were against Roberto Carballes Baena & Martin Lanallic. The Spaniards got the jump on Skupsi & Koolhof, breaking the seeds and taking the first set. The second set saw the top seeds regroup and break back to level up the match. The final set tiebreak saw Skupski & Koolhof stroll through and take the win 4-6, 6-4, 10-5.
The quarter-final saw the top seeds against the seventh seeds Rohan Bopanna & Matthew Ebden. The Indian/Australian pairing broke the top seeds early to take the lead. The second set saw Bopanna & Ebden dominate the top seeds and take the win 6-3, 6-2.
Jamie Murray & Michael Venus drew second seeds Joe Salisbury & Rajeev Ram in the first round. The Brit/Kiwi pair dominated the first set and took the lead. The second set saw Salisbury & Ram break early and level up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw Murray & Venus ease through and take the win 6-2, 3-6, 10-4.
The second round saw Murray & Venus against Nathaniel Lammons & Jackson Withrow. The Americans got off to the better start and broke the Brit/Kiwi to take the lead. The second set saw Murray & Venus level up the match breaking the Americans. The ensuing match tiebreak once again saw the Brit/Kiwi ease through and take the win 3-6, 6-3, 10-4.
In the quarter-final Murray & Venus were against Karen Khachanov & Andrey Rublev. The Brit/Kiwi stayed with Khachanov & Rublev in the first set, forcing a tiebreak. Murray & Venus edged through to take the lead. The second set saw Khachanov & Rublev break Murray & Venus to level up the match. The final match tiebreak was very close, but eventually, Khachanov & Rublev edged through 6-7 (5), 6-3, 10-8.
Over in Wiesbaden Emily Appleton teamed up with Julia Lohoff and were unseeded. The Brit/German pair were against Magali Kempen & Yanin Wickmayer in the first round. The Brit/German were made to work hard by the Belgians, before Appleton & Lohoff secured the break of serve in both sets to claim the win 6-4, 6-4.
The quarter-final saw the Brit/German against the second seeds Andrea Gamiz & Eva Vedder. Appleton & Lohoff fought hard in the first set and broke the seeds to take the lead. The second set was easier for the Brit/German as Gamiz & Vedder struggled to get back into the match. The Brit/German moved into the next round 6-4, 6-3.
In the semi-final Appleton & Lohoff were due to face German pair Noma Noha Akugue & Ella Seidel. The Germans however, withdrew before the match, handing a walkover to the Brit/Germans 0-0 (RET).
The final was against Australians Jaimee Fourlis & Olivia Gadecki. Appleton & Lohoff found the Australians too strong in the first set and were soon a set down. The second set was closer as Appleton & Lohoff stayed with Fourlis & Gadecki. Unfortunately, the Australians finally broke serve and lifted the title 6-1, 6-4.

Dan Evans with Roberto Bautista Agut were defeated by Rohan Bopanna & Matthew Ebden in the first round in Madrid 6-3, 7-6(4).
Cameron Norrie with Tommy Paul were defeated by Frances Tiafoe & Taylor Fritz in the first round in Madrid 4-6, 6-4, 10-8.
Lloyd Glasspool & Harri Heliovaara were defeated by Denis Shapovalov & Felix Auger-Aliassme in the second round in Madrid 6-4, 6-2.
Alicia Barnett & Oliva Nicholls were defeated by Jamie Fourlis & Olivia Gadecki in the semi-final in Wiesbaden 6-4, 7-5.
Emilie Lindh Gallagher with Vasanti Shinde were defeated by Lucija Ciric Bagaric & Isabella Shinikova in the first round in Tossa de Mar 4-1 (RET).
Matilda Mutavdzic with Nahia Berecoechea were defeated by Georgina Garcia-Perez & Conny Perrin in the semi-final in Tossa de Mar 6-3, 6-3.
Carl Holder with Paul Armin Albrecht were defeated by Nikita Ianin & Michal Mikula in the first round in Monastir 6-4, 6-2.
Emily Webley-Smith with Nigina Abduraimova were defeated by Bibiane Schoofs & Greet Minen in the first round in St Malo 6-1, 7-6(3).
Jodie Burrage with Katie Volynets were defeated by Lidziya Marozava & Laura Pigossi in the quarter-final in St Malo 6-4, 6-3.
Freya Christie & Ali Collins were defeated by Ingrid Martins & Iryna Shymanovich in the quarter-final in St Malo 6-4, 6-4.
Yuriko Lily Miyazaki with Prarthana G Thombare were defeated by Ashlyn Krueger & Robin Montgomery in the quarter-final 6-3, 6-2.
