VIENNA, AUSTRIA – Emily Appleton with Estelle Cascino entered the ITF event and were the second seeds. The Brit/French pair lifted the title.

Emily Appleton teamed up with Estelle Cascino and the pair were the second seeds. In the first round they were against Victoria Chramcova & Anastasia Mozgaleva. The seeds dominated from the outset. Appleton & Cascino broke at will in the first set and soon had the lead. The second set was even quicker as the seeds barely put a foot wrong, they soon had the match 6-2, 6-1.

The quarter-final saw the Brit/French pair against Melanie Klaffner & Ekaterina Perelygina. The Austrian pair stayed close in the first set, and looked to be forcing a tiebreak. However, the seeds broke just at the right time to take the lead. The second set saw Klaffner & Perelygina again stay with the seeds. This time, however, the Brit/French pair managed to break sooner and move into the next round 7-5, 6-4.

In the semi-final Appleton & Cascino were against Nuria Brancaccio & Leyre Romero Gormaz. The Italian/Spaniard were no match for the seeds in the first set. The Brit/French pair dominated the set and took the lead. The second was a little closer, as Brancaccio & Romero Gormaz found their game. However, the seeds broke through and moved into the next round 6-1, 6-4.

The final saw the second seeds against the Ukrainian fourth seeds Maryna Kolb & Nadia Kolb. The Brit/French pair managed to break the fourth seeds serve in the first set and take the lead. The second set was much much closer. The Ukrainians forced a tiebreak. However, the second seeds dominated the tiebreak and lifted the title 6-4, 7-6(1).

 

 

Doubles Round Up

Alicia Barnett with Isabelle Haverlag were defeated by Nuria Brancaccio & Leyre Romero Gormaz in the quarter-final in Vienna 6-4, 6-3.

Scott Duncan & James MacKinley were defeated by Oliver Crawford & Nicholas Bybel in the first round in Tulln 7-5, 3-6, 10-8.

Oliver Crawford with Nicholas Bybel were defeated by Milos Karol & Vitaliy Sachko in the quarter-final in Tulln 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.

Joshua Paris with Ramkumar Ramanathan were defeated by Egor Agafonov & Ilia Simakin in the first round in Istanbul 6-1, 6-2.

Marcus Willis with Ivan Liutarevich were defeated by August Holmgren & Johannes Ingildsen in the semi-final in Istanbul 6-3, 3-6, 11-9.

Jay Clarke & Felix Mischker were defeated by Tibo Colson & Thijmen Loof in the quarter-final in Bali 6-3, 6-1.

Ali Habib with Tanguy Genier were defeated by Luca Castelnuovo & Damien Wenger in the quarter-final in Bali 6-4, 6-2.

Max Basing with Andre Ilagan were defeated by Luca Castelnuova & Damien Wenger in the semi-final in Bali 7-6(3), 7-6(5).

Liam Hignett with Lucas Horve were defeated by James Davis & Ben Jones in the semi-final in Bagneres-de-Bigorre 7-6(0), 6-0.

James Davis & Ben Jones were defeated by Yanis Ghazouani Durand & Loann Massard in the final in Bagneres-de-Bigorre 7-6(5), 6-3.

Patrick Foley with Luca Giacomini were defeated by Maximus Jones & Aziz Ouakaa in the first round in Monastir 6-3, 6-4.

Charles Dossetter with Yassine Smiej were defeated by Valentin De Carvelho & Samir Hamza Reguig in the first round in Monastir 6-4, 6-4.

Lucia Cassidy with Liel Marlies Rothensteiner were defeated by Matilde Mariani & Celine Simunyu in the first round in Monastir 6-2, 6-1.

Ewen Lumsden & James Story were defeated by Garrett Johns & Siem Woldeab in the quarter-final in Monastir 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.

Stefan Cooper & Joe Tyler were defeated by Hamish Stewart & Finn Bass in the quarter-final in Budapest 7-6(5), 6-4.

Hamish Stewart & Finn Bass were defeated by Ilya Beloborodko & Matthew Donald in the semi-final in Budapest 6-4, 6-4.

Adam Jones & Matthew Summers defeated Adil Kalyanpur & Vishnu Vardhan in the final in Tashkent 6-1, 3-6, 10-7.

Georgina Hays with Leire de Ezcurra were defeated by Justina Mikulskyte & Sapfo Sakellaridi in the semi-final in Saint Palais Sur Mer 6-3, 6-3.

Holly Hutchinson & Ella McDonald were defeated by Bianca Jolie Fernandez & Radka Zelnickova in the semi-final in Leiria 6-4, 5-7, 10-5.

Sarah Beth Grey with Matilde Jorge defeated Bianca Jolie Fernandez & Radka Zelnickova in the final in Leiria 7-6(1), 6-2.
