KIEV, UKRAINE – Ali Collins teamed up with Andrea Gamiz for the ITF event and were third seeds. The Brit/Venezuelan were runners up.

Ali Collins teamed up with Andrea Gamiz and entered the ITF event. The Brit/Venezuelan were the third seeds. In the first round the seeds drew Lissi Kubre & Polina Ramenskaja. The Estonians stayed toe to toe with the Collins & Gamiz in the first set forcing a tiebreak. The seeds dominated the breaker to take the lead. In the second set The Brit/Venezuelan were in full control losing only one game to take the match 7-6(2), 6-1.

The quarter-final pitched the third seeds against Marlia Bergen & Viktoriya Petrenko. The Ukrainians stayed with the the seeds until Collins & Gamiz broke serve and took the lead. In the second set the Brit/Venezuelan dominated and didn’t lose a game to book a spot in the semi-final 6-3, 6-0.

In the semi-final Collins & Gamiz were against Michaela Bayerlova & Anastasia Zarycka. The Czechs struggled against the seeds who were dominant. The third seeds strolled through the sets without much trouble. Collins & Gamiz broke serve more or less at will and moved into the final 6-2, 6-1.

The final saw the third seeds against the fourth seeds Jang Sujong & Bojana Marinkovic. Collins & Gamiz broke the Korean/Serbian in the first set to take the lead. However Sujong & Marinkovic re-grouped and broke the third seeds to level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak the Korean/Serbian edged ahead and took the title 3-6, 6-4, 10-7.

Doubles Round Up

Ken Skupski & Luke Bambridge were defeated by Hunter Reese & Sam Verbeek in the first round in Los Cabos 7-6(4), 6-7(4), 10-8.

Jay Clarke with Ergi Kirkin were defeated by Hsu Yu-Hsiou & Benjamin Lock in the first round in Nur Sultan 0-0 (RET).

James Ward & Aidan McHugh were defeated by Petros Chrysochos & Michail Pervolarakis in the first round in Cary 0-0 (RET).

Ben Jones with Egor Noskin were defeated by Gilbert Klier Junior & Joao Lucas Reis Da Silva in the quarter-final in Idanha-A-Nova 7-5, 7-5.

Evan Hoyt with Thomas Fancutt were defeated by Gilbert Klier Junior & Joao Lucas Reis Da Silva in the semi-final in Idanha-A-Nova 7-6(3), 4-6, 10-8.

Billy Harris with Luciano Darderi defeated Juan Ignacio Galarza & Tomas Lipovsek Puches in the final in Perugia 0-0 (RET).

Adam Jones with Austin Ansari were defeated by Paulo Knippling & Aleski Lofman in the first round in Monastir 7-6(4), 2-6, 10-7.

Alice Gillan & Annali Olivelle were defeated by Mariana Drazic & Anastasia Nefedova in Monastir 6-1, 6-1.

Eden Silva with Jamie Loeb were defeated by Kateryna Bondarenko & Katarzyna Piter in the quarter-final in Gydnia 6-2, 7-5.

Olivia Nicholls with Isabelle Haverlag were defeated by Barbara Gatica & Rebeca Pereira in the first round in Olomouc 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.

Anna Popescu with Julia Kimmelmann were defeated by Tamara Kostic & Erica Oosterhout in the first round in Don Benito 1-1 (RET).
