ECKENTAL, GERMANY – Jonny O’Mara teamed up with Hugo Nys and were seeded second in the ATP Challenger event. The pair made it all the way to the final before ultimately being defeated.

Jonny O’Mara teamed up with Hugo Nys in the ATP Challenger event in Eckental and were seeded second. In the first round they drew Aliaksandr Bury & Evgeny Donskoy. The Belarussian/Russian pair stayed toe to toe with the seeds in both sets and forced tiebreaks. However, it was O’Mara & Nys that came through to book a quarter-final spot 7-6(5), 7-6(3).

In the quarter-final the second seeds were up against Purav Raja & Antonio Sancic. The first set was very tight and went to a tiebreak, which O’Mara & Nys lost. However, the seeds fought back in the second set and levelled up after breaking serve. In the ensuing match tiebreak it was the seeds who edged through to book a semi-final spot 6-7(4), 7-5, 10-7.

The semi-final saw O’Mara & Nys up against third seeds Sander Arends & Romain Arneodo. The Dutch/Monegasque pair got off to the better start and broke the serve of O’Mara & Nys taking the first set. However, the second seeds fought back well in the second and came back from 5-1 in the set to level up and force a match tiebreak. The second seeds won the match tiebreak and moved into the final 5-7, 7-5, 13-11.

In the final O’Mara & Nys were against fourth seeds Kevin Krawietz & Andreas Mies. The Germans proved too strong for the second seeds. Despite fighting hard it was the Germans who came through in straight sets and ended the great run of O’Mara & Nys.

Neal Skupski with John Isner were defeated by Oliver Marach & Mate Pavic in the quarter-final in Paris   7-6(6), 6-7(4), 12-10.

Jamie Murray with Bruno Soares were defeated by Marcel Granollers & Rajeev Ram in the quarter-final in Paris 6-3, 6-3.

Dom Inglot with Franko Skugor were defeated by Pierre-Hugues Herbert & Nicolas Mahut in the quarter-final in Paris 6-3, 7-5.

Brydan Klein with Scott Puodziunas were defeated by Hiroki Moriya & Yosuke Watanuki in the first round in Canberra 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-8.

Evan Hoyt with Wu Tung-Lin were defeated by Maverick Banes & Blake Ellis in the first round in Canberra 6-2, 4-6, 11-9.

Emily Webley-Smith with Sofia Shapatava were defeated by Dalila Jakupović & Irina Khromacheva in the first round in Mumbai 6-0, 6-2.

Neil Pauffley with Cing-Yang Meng were defeated by Hiroyasu Ehara & Pruchya Isaro in the final in Thailand 6-2, 6-3.

Amelia Stuart with Charmaine Shi Yi Seah were defeated by  Jeong Yeong Won & Park Sang-Hee in the quarter-final in Thailand 6-2, 6-1.

Billy Harris with Antoine Bellier were defeated by Francis Alcantara & Markus Eriksson in the semi-final in Vietnam 6-4, 6-3.

Helena Jansen Figueras with Catherine Chantraine were defeated by Tamara Čurović & Eliessa Vanlangendonck in the semi-final in Tunisia 7-5, 6-4.

Olivia Sonnekus-Williams with Jessie Aney were defeated by Čurović & Vanlangendonck in the final in Tunisia 6-0, 6-3.

Isaac Stoute with William Bushamuka were defeated by Shalva Dzhanashiya & Alexander Igoshin in the first round in Egypt 6-1, 7-5.

Jake Hersey with Pedro Vives Marcos were defeated by Tom Kočevar-Dešman & David Pilcher in the first round in Greece 6-3, 6-0.

Elliott Farmer with Conor Berg were defeated by Francesco Ferrari & Michail Pervolarakis in the quarter-final in Greece 6-2, 7-5.

George Davies & Adam Jones were defeated by Lucas Catarina & Baptiste Crepatte in the quarter-final in Greece 6-4, 7-6(4).

Jonathan Binding with Giovani Samaha were defeated by Peter Heller & Kai Wehnelt in the semi-final in Kuwait 7-5, 6-4.

David Quayle with Kristjan Tamm were defeated by Masi Sarpola & Otto Virtanen in the quarter-final in Estonia 7-5, 7-6(7).

Eden Silva with Julia Terzijska were defeated by Sarah Beth Grey & Olivia Nicholls in the first round in the Wirral 6-2, 6-1.

Tamara Malazonia & Mae McCutcheon were defeated by Freya Christie & Valeria Savinykh in the quarter-final in the Wirral 6-1, 6-2.

Sarah Beth Grey & Olivia Nicholls were defeated by Freya Christie & Valeria Savinykh in the final in the Wirral     6-4, 7-5.
