MONASTIR, TUNISIA – Kristina Paskauskas entered the ITF event and made the final. The Brit was unseeded. In Roland Garros Neal Skupski made the men’s quarter-final, Lloyd Glasspool the mixed doubles quarter-final.
Roland Garros
Neal Skupski & Wesley Koolhof were the top seed at the French Open. The Brit/Dutch pair drew Gonzalo Escobar & Andrey Golubev. The first set was fairly easy for the top seeds as they broke Escobar & Golubev to take the lead. The second set, however, was much closer. The top seeds were held to a tiebreak. In the breaker the top seeds edged through to take the win 6-3, 7-6(5).
In the second round the top seeds were against Pedro Cachin & Wu Yibing. The Argentine/Chinese pair stayed close in the first set, before Skuspki & Koolhof broke to take the lead. The second set was dominated by the top seeds who moved into the next round 6-4, 6-2.
The third round saw Skupski & Koolhof against Aleksandr Nedovyesov & Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela. The first set was very close and looked to be heading to a tiebreak. However, the top seeds broke right at the end of the set and took the lead. The second set saw the top seeds once again break serve and move into the next round 7-5, 6-4.
In the quarter-final Skupski & Koolhof were against Marcel Granollers & Horacio Zeballos. The 10th seeds broke early in the first set to take the lead. The second was closer as the Brit/Dutch pair forced a tiebreak. However, the top seeds were edged out in the breaker 6-3, 7-6(4).
Mixed Doubles
Lloyd Glasspool & Asia Muhammed teamed up for the mixed doubles and were against Estelle Cascino & Dan Added. The French wildcard pairing tried to stay with Glasspool & Muhammed, but the Brit/American broke in the first set to take the lead. The second set was a little closer but eventually Glasspool & Muhammed broke and took the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-4.
The second round saw the Brit/American were against fifth seeds Lyudmyla Kichenok & Matt Ebden. The seeds kept close in the first set, before Glasspool & Muhammed broke to take the lead. The second set was a little easier for the Brit/American as they broke early in the set and took the match 7-5, 6-3.
In the quarter-final Glasspool & Muhammed were against Gabriela Dabrowski & Nathaniel Lammons. The Candian/American pairing broke at the end of the first set to take the lead. The second set saw the Brit/American force a tiebreak and level up the match. The ensuing match tiebreak saw the Canadian/American edge through to move on 7-5, 6-7(2), 11-9.
Brit of the Week
Kristina Paskauskas entered the ITF W15 event in Tunisia, the Brit was unseeded. In the first round the 18-year-old was against Delia Gaillard. The Frenchwoman stayed close in the first set before Paskauskas managed to break serve and take the lead, The second set was more of the same. Once again the young Brit broke serve and moved into the next round in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
The second round saw the Brit against the second seed Marie Villet. Just like in the first round, the young Brit was able to break the serve of the Frenchwomen to take the lead. The second set was a bit easier for Paskauskas. The Brit broke Villet early and held on to move into the next round 6-4, 6-3.
In the quarter-final the young Brit was against wildcard entry Elizaveta Shebekina. Paskauskas dominated from the outset. The Brit broke at will and made life difficult for Shebekina. The young Brit eased into the next round 6-1, 6-0.
The semi-final saw Paskauskas against the eighth seed Lucia Llinares Domingo. The Spaniard found the Brit too strong in the first set as the 18-year-old broke early and took the lead. The second set was a little harder for the young Brit as the Spaniard stayed with her. Eventually, though, the Brit broke and moved into the final 6-3, 7-5.
In the final Paskauskas was against the top seed Natalia Siedliska. The German broke early in the first set and took the lead. The young Brit tried to get back into the match, but found the top seed too strong. The second set saw Siedliska dominate to lift the trophy 6-3, 6-2.
Doubles, Challenger & ITF Round Up
Julian Cash & Henry Patten were defeated by Max Purcell & Ben Shelton in the first round in Roland Garros 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Joe Salisbury with Desirae Krawczyk were defeated by Jamie Murray & Taylor Townsend in the first round in Roland Garros 6-2, 7-5.
Alicia Barnett & Olivia Nicholls were defeated by Jasmine Paolini & Martina Trevisan in the first round in Roland Garros 7-6(5), 1-6, 6-4.
Jamie Murray with Taylor Townsend were defeated by Gabriela Dabrowski & Nathaniel Lammons in the second round in Roland Garros 0-0 (RET).

Jamie Murray with Michael Venus were defeated by Marcelo Arevalo & Jean-Julien Roger in the third round in Roland Garros 6-2, 6-2.
