Luca Pow entered the ITF event in Santo Domingo and was the top seed. The 18 year old drew American Luca Benaibbouche in the first round. The Brit dominated the match from the outset. The American struggled to hold serve and Pow moved quickly into the next round 6-2, 6-1.

The second round saw the Brit against Andres Delgadillo. The Mexican was outplayed by Pow from the start. The top seed broke at will in the first set as Delgadillo struggled. The second set was a little better for the Mexican who managed to hold serve a couple of times, but the top seed eased through to the next round 6-0, 6-2.

In the third round the Brit was against 13th seed Nikola Djosic. The Swiss stayed with Pow at the start of the set. Eventually, the top seed broke serve and took the lead. The second set was much closer, as Pow and Djosic stayed toe to toe, and a tiebreak ensued. The Brit dominated the tiebreak and moved into the next round 6-3, 7-6(2).

The quarter-final saw the Brit against American Andrew Delgado. The Brit and American stayed toe to toe at the start, before Pow broke serve and took the lead. The second set saw the American re-group and break serve to level up the match. The final set saw Pow fight back, and break serve to take the match 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

In the semi-final Pow was against Yubel Ubri. The Brit overpowered the American and broke serve in the first set to take the lead. The second set was more of the same as Ubri tried to fight back, but Pow broke serve again to take the match 6-3, 6-3.

The final saw Pow against third seed and fellow Brit Charlie Robertson. The top seed broke early in the first set to take the lead. Robertson re-grouped in the second set and stayed with Pow. Eventually, just as it looked like a tiebrak was on the cards, the top seed broke and took the title 6-3, 7-5.
