The Brit dominated the first set, as the Peruvian struggled to get into the match. Jones soon had the first set in the bag. The second set was even better for Jones as she didn’t drop a single game to move into the next round 6-2, 6-0.

The third round saw Jones against seventh seed Martina Capurro Taborda. The Brit dominated the first set as the Argentine was unable to hold serve. The second set though, was much closer. Jones and Capurro Taborda went toe to toe before eventually, the Brit managed to break serve and move into the next round 6-0, 7-5.

In the quarter-final the Brit was against second seed Priska Madelyn Nugroho. Jones was dominating the match and was easing through, when the second seed had to withdraw from the match handing the Brit a spot in the next round 3-1 (RET).

The semi-final pitched the Brit against third seed You Xiaodi. Once again, Jones started well and dominated the first set to take the lead. The Chinese player re-grouped in the second set, and levelled up the match by breaking the Brit serve. The final set though, saw Jones once again dominate and secure a spot in the final 6-2, 4-6, 6-2.

In the final Jones was against the top seed Julia Riera. The Argentine dominated the first set to take the lead. The Brit fought hard in the second set, and stayed close to Riera. Unfortunately, the top seed managed to break serve right at the end of the match and took the title 6-2, 7-5.
