VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, USA – Blu Baker entered the ITF event and made the final. The Brit defeated the eighth seed in the first round.

Brit of the Week
Blu Baker entered the ITF event and was unseeded. In the first round the Brit was against the eighth seed Bautista Vilicich. The Argentina found Baker too strong in the first set. The Brit dominated and soon had the lead. The second set was a little closer. However, Baker managed to break serve and moved into the next round 6-1, 6-3.
The second round saw the Brit against wildcard Keshav Chopra. The American struggled in the first set as Baker dominated again and moved ahead. The second set was a little closer. Chopra stayed with the Brit at first, however, Baker managed to get the break of serve and move into the next round 6-1, 6-3.
In the quarter-final Baker was against another American, this time Jack Kennedy. The American got off to the better start, breaking the Brit to take the lead. The second set saw the Brit regroup. Baker broke Kennedy to level up the match. The final set saw the Brit break early and move into the next round 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
The semi-final saw Baker against Tomas Luis. The Portuguese stayed close in the first set, before Baker broke serve and moved ahead. The second set saw Baker dominate and Luis struggled to stay with the Brit. Baker eased through into the final 6-3, 6-1.
In the final the Brit was against seventh seed William Grant. The first set was very close, as the American and Brit went toe-to-toe. Eventually, a tiebreak ensued. In the breaker it was the Brit that eased through and took the lead. The second set saw Grant break serve and got a lead. However, Baker was not giving up. The Brit pulled back from 4-2 down and managed to break serve again and lift the title 7-6(3), 6-4.
