Sarah Beth Grey entered the ITF event in Portugal and was the fifth seed in singles. In the first round Grey was against the only other Brit in the draw, qualifier Anna Brogan. Grey battled hard in the first set and secured a break of serve to take the lead. The second set saw Grey dominate Brogan. The seed broke several times to take the match in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

The second round saw the Brit against Lee Pei-Chi. Grey and Pei-Chi stayed close in the first set, before the seed secured a break of serve to move into the lead. The second set was much much closer. The seed and Pei-Chi went toe to toe, until right at the end when Grey secured the vital break of serve and booked a spot in the next round 6-4, 7-5.

In the quarter-final the Brit was against Australian Kimberly Birrell. The first set saw Grey and Birrell stay with each other, neither giving an inch. The set went to a tiebreak, which the Aussie edged through and took the lead. The second set saw Grey trying to get back into the match, unfortunately Birrell secured the vital break of serve and took the match 7-6(6), 6-4.

In the doubles Grey teamed up with Jamie Loeb and they wre the top seeds. Their first round match pitched them against Brogan and Ali Collins. The seeds dominated the first set, as the all British pair struggled to get into the match. The second set was much closer, as Brogan & Collins found their game. However, Grey & Loeb eventually secured the vital break of serve to move into the next round 6-2, 6-4.

The quarter-final saw the top seeds against Birrell & Kyoka Okamura. Once again, the top seeds dominated the first set, whilst the Australian/Japanese pair struggled. The second set was much like the first round, with the unseeded pair playing better. However, the Brit/American pair secured the vital break of serve to move into the semi-final 6-2, 6-4.

In the semi-final Grey & Loeb were against the fourth seeds Alexandra Bozovic & Erika Sema. The Australian/Japanese pair got the jump on the top seeds and dominated the first set. However, Grey & Loeb re-grouped in the second. The top seeds dominated to pull the match level. The ensuing match tiebreak was very close with the Brit/American just edging through into the final 2-6, 6-2, 11-9.

The final saw the top seeds against the second seeds Francsica Jorge & Matilde Jorge. The Portugese pair broke serve early in the first set and took the lead against Grey & Loeb. The second set saw the Jorge sisters dominate the top seeds and lift the title in straight sets 6-3, 6-1.
