KOBLENZ, GERMANY – Jan Choinski and Liam Broady entered the ATP Challenger event. Broady was the sixth seed, whilst Choinski unseeded. Both made the second round in the singles.

ATP Challengers
In Koblenz Jan Choinski was unseeded and drew qualifier Denis Yevseyev. The Kazakh stayed with the Brit in the first set, before Choinski secured the vital break of serve to take the lead. The second set saw Yevseyev re-group and dominate to level up the match. Choinski managed to dominate the final set to take the match 6-4, 1-6, 6-2.
In the second round the Brit was against the seventh seed Alexandre Muller. The Frenchman broke early in the first set and took the lead. The second set was much closer, as Choinski stayed on terms and forced a tiebreak. The Brit managed to secure the breaker and level up the match. The final set was very close, and the Brit stayed with Muller. The set looked to be heading to a tiebreak, but the Frenchman secured the break right at the end to take the match 6-3, 6-7, 7-5.
Liam Broady was the sixth seed and was against Robin Haase in the first round. The Brit and the Dutchman stayed toe to toe in the first set, forcing a tiebreak. Broady won the tiebreak and took the lead. The second set saw the Brit totally dominate and take the win 7-6, 6-1.
The second round saw Broady against qualifier Alexey Vatutin. The Brit struggled in the first set, as Vatutin dominated and took the set with ease. The second saw the Brit try and fight back, but eventually the qualifier secured the vital break of serve and took the match 6-2, 6-3.
In the doubles, Broady teamed up with Dustin Brown and drew wildcard pairing Tim Sandaulen & Constantin Frantzen. The Germans managed to break serve and took the first set. However, Broady & Brown fought back and dominated the second to level up the match. In the ensuing match tiebreak the Germans edged ahead and took the match 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
Over in Tenerife, Dan Cox came through qualifying and into the main draw. In the first round the Brit drew Gianluca Mager. The Italian and Brit stayed together in the first set and forced a tiebreak. Cox managed to secure the break and take the lead. Mager then fought back in the second set, breaking the serve of Cox and levelled up the match. The final set saw Cox dominate to move into the next round 7-6, 3-6, 6-2.
In the second round Cox drew third seed Raul Brancaccio. The Italian managed to break serve in both of the sets, as Cox was unable to prevent the seed from progressing further into the tournament. The Brit tried hard but Brancaccio claimed the match in straight sets 6-3, 6-3.
Ryan Peniston and Jay Clarke drew each other in the first round. Clarke was unseeded and Peniston was the fifth seed. Clarke started better and broke the serve of the seed to take the lead. Peniston fought back in the second, and broke right at the end to level up the match. The final set was very even and a tiebreak ensued, finally the seed broke through and took the match 3-6, 7-5, 7-6.
The second round saw Peniston against wildcard Nicolas Alvarez Varona. The Brit stayed with the Spaniard in the first set, and broke towards the end to take the lead. However, Alvarez Varona managed to work out the Brit and dominated the final two sets to move into the next round 5-7, 6-2, 6-1.
In the doubles Luke Johnson teamed up with Sam Verbeek and were the third seeds. Their first round opponents were Fernando Romboli & Santiago Rodriguez Raverna. The seeds dominated the first set and took the lead. The second was much closer as the Brazilian/Argentine pair stayed with the seeds and forced a tiebreak. In the breaker the Brit/Dutch pair got the win and moved into the next round 6-2, 7-6.
The quarter-final saw Johnson & Verbeek against Alessandro Giannessi & Salvatore Caruso. The third seeds started well and broke the Italians for the lead. However, Giannessi & Caruso stayed with the Brit/Dutch pair forcing a tiebreak, which they won to level the match. The match tiebreak saw the Italians get ahead and take a spot in the next round 3-6, 7-6, 10-5.
Over in Cleveland Jack Pinnington-Jones had a wildcard entry. The Brit was against Mexican Ernesto Escobedo in the first round. The Brit dominated the first set and took the lead. Pinnington-Jones was also dominating the second, when it became obvious that Escobedo couldn’t continue. The Brit moved into the second round 6-2, 3-1(RET).
The second round saw the Brit against the top seed Emilio Gomez. The Ecuadorian dominated the first set and took the lead. Pinnington-Jones re-grouped in the second set and broke Gomez to level up the match. The final set saw the top seed once again dominate to move into the next round 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.

Ruari McLennan with Chaz Doherty were defeated by Brian Bozemoj & Buvaysar Gadamuri in the first round in M25 Monastir 6-1, 6-0.
Ryan Storrie was defeated by Jiri Barnat in the second round in Sharm-El-Sheikh 6-4, 7-6.
Joe Cooper & Sean Drewry were defeated by Jacob Bradshaw & Akram El Sallaly in the first round in Sharm-El-Sheikh 6-1, 6-4.
Ryan Storrie with Yan Bondarevskiy were defeated by S D Prajwal Dev & Nathan Seateun in the semi-final in Sharm-El-Sheikh 4-6, 7-6, 10-8.
Naiktha Bains was defeated by Lizette Cabrera in the second round in Burnie 6-3, 6-2.
Naiktha Bains with Destanee Aiava were defeated by Arina Rodionova & Ena Shibahara in the quarter-final in Burnie 6-2, 6-3.
Emily Appleton with Isabelle Haverlag were defeated by Alice Robbe & Tara Wurth in the first round in Porto 7-6, 6-3.
