H2H: Emma Raducanu (WR 61) Amanda Anisimova (WR 35)
Tournament Previous Best R2 (2022, 2023, 2024) R16 (2019, 2022, 2024)
1st Serve Return Points Won % 44.0 38.5
Return Points Won % 51.9 43.9
Break Point Conversion % 60.0 47.8
Break Points Saved % 57.1 40.0
Overall Service Points Won % 51.5 67.3

While Anisimova has more matches under her belt, Raducanu’s two tie-break sets and a single win against Alexandrova sets her ahead in all but overall service points won. Anisimova withdrew from her quarter0funa in Hobart but got her first round done in comparative ease.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Raducanu might be a little undercooked, but she showed she lost none of her fighting spirit as she took out the 26th seed despite a barrage of double-faults. It is not clear0cut what to expect from Anisimova – her Hobart withdrawal was due to illness, and she looked to be back on form with comfortable straight sets win in her first round.

The Brit needs to continue to tap into that problem solving that saw her claim the US Open crown, and in Anisimova, she faces a player who is consistent and aggressive off both wings and can get around the court and use angles very effectively.

Raducanu can expect second serves to get punished and will need to sharpen up that serving sharply. Her stats with just one match under her belt should give her confidence but the big question is whether she is fit enough to go the distance if required, to advance past the second round for the first time.

Prediction: Raducanu in three sets.
