Despite her continued battles with injuries since her comeback to the tourn. Raducanu’s stronger finish to the year helped propel her into the Top 75 and puts her not far out of reach for stats on the hard courts in 2024.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Raducanu will be coming into the year completely undercooked, having had to withdraw in Auckland and meeting a seed first is not ideal. Alexandrova has yet to put together back-to-back wins yet this season but carries with her match sharpness. But with Raducanu, the constant concern is how she will hold up in terms of fitness.

Expect to see a lot of baseline rallies, and Raducanu will need to counter the natural aggressiveness of Alexandrova but what took Raducanu to the US Open title was her ability to think on her feet and get out of situations – she might also be better when she has to come from behind.

Prediction: Alexandrova in three sets.
