Harriet Dart v Jil Teichmann [32] | H2H & Match Fundamentals

Harriet Dart really stepped into the limelight last year, with some breakout performances, although she was on the losing end of a couple of touch matches at the United Cup. Jil Teichmann comes into this encounter a little more match-tight, having come through Adelaide 2 qualifying and getting through a couple of rounds.

Looking back over the past year, considering Dart’s progress, there is little to separate the pair, but coming into this match, Teichmann will feel a lot more confident.

Playing Styles & Prediction

Dart has been very effective with her aggressive style of play, and if she can steal a march over better-qualified players, she can put the pressure on, but still can be very up and down when it comes to closing the big moments out.

Teichmann will be all about the variety – attacking net play, court coverage and sliding into defence, she will move Dart off the baseline with demon drop shots and chuck in all manner of slice and dice to frustrate her opponent.

Dart has it in her to make this a real tussle.

Prediction: Teichmann in three sets.
