Playing Styles & Prediction

Both have aggressive styles of play but Swiatek’s variety sets her apart from the feisty Brit, who is not at all short of drive to beat the best. She will have learned a lot from being overawed by playing her hero Maria Sharapova on her main draw debut, and she made it to the second round the following year.

Dart can expect to be brought into the net, and will have to counter the Pole’s solid volleying skills and is hard to rattle – although ti does happen occasionally. It has, however been a solid start for Dart in 2022, and lays a good foundation for the rest of the season.

Prediction: Swiatek in straight sets.
