Rogers looked good through her run this week, with a more than capable serve to get the party started, and is solid off both wings from the baseline, and if she is going to come to the net, more often than not it will be coming in after her serve.

Jones looks to play aggressive tennis, moves well around the court, and hits her forehand with a generous dollop of top-spin and she will look to make this match very physical for Rogers. Her forehand is key – she uses it to try and control points and to open the court, and when it is working well, then other aspects of her game come together.

Still – experience counts for a lot, and Rogers has an edge from her lead-in.

Prediction: Rogers in straight sets

Jones and Rogers are scheduled fourth on Court 5, not before 4:30pm (5:30am GMT)
