Playing styles and prediction

Martin Etcheverry is looking for confidence again after some poor run of results and the Argentinian has been playing on the clay to find his form again. The 23 year-old plays a solid baseline game and has good movement to go with his consistent hitting.

Edmund will look to test his serve early as he will be under pressure on return from the Argentinian especially on depth. This is a perfect match for Edmund to see what level he is at heading into the US Open. The Brit will fancy his chances if he plays consistent tennis but any drops in form and the Argentinian should take advantage.

Prediction: Edmund in three sets.
