Playing Styles and Prediction
Heading into this match Kozlov is on a five match losing streak and hasn’t won a main draw ATP match since beating Grigor Dimitrov in Acapulco earlier this year. The American’s sluggish baseline play has been ineffective on the tour and will look to build up his form heading into the US Open.
Draper will look to use his power and variety from both sides to cause Kozlov problems. The Brit will need to be patient as the American will look to slow down the tempo of the rallies however the Brit should have too much for Kozlov and seal his place into the second round.
Prediction: Draper in four sets.
