Playing Styles and Prediction

After a disappointing start to the season, Bellucci has picked up his form having qualified for Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open. Furthermore Bellucci has excelled on the Challenger circuit with deep runs especially in American and the aggressive Italian is now looking to end the year in the world’s top 100.

Draper will look to continue his efficient and proactive returning as he will be smart on returns and will aim to set up shots on his powerful forehand. Meanwhile Bellucci will maintain a high percentage of first serves as he aims to dictate the tempo of the rallies and force Draper behind the baseline. Bellucci is expected to make an aggressive start to the match but as the match goes on Draper should have the maturity and quality to prevail in a testing opening round match in Japan.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
