Playing styles and prediction

Kecmanovic has had some decent performances throughout the season but not enough wins to back up his aggressive. Now the Serbian will hope he can change that form around heading into the new season as he has semi-final points to defend in Sweden this week.

Norrie will use the backhand as the focal point for his aggressive play as he will look to gradually find confidence on return. Meanwhile Kecmanovic will take the match to the Brit by playing aggressive tennis on serve and using the backhand to dictate play from the baseline. This is a good test for Norrie but the Brit’s lack of competitive tennis mixed with Kecmanovic’s good form on indoor hard courts could see Norrie fall just short in this match.

Prediction: Kecmanovic in three sets.
