Durasovic has pretty good statistics on the ITF circuit this season and will test Murray’s returning ability as well as his ability to be clinical in big moments.

Playing styles and prediction

Durasovic is an unknown entity in the tennis world but has hit good form in recent months on the ITF on indoor hard courts with good serving in big moments being the key. Durasovic will hope qualifying for Stockholm this week will give him confidence to build on this and follow in compatriot Casper Ruud’s footsteps.

The match is in Murray’s control and will test his consistency on serve as well as return against an opponent that is in good form against players of similar calibre. A second round match against Jannik Sinner should be more than enough motivation for the three-time grand slam champion to perform at a high level and move in the next round. But as we’ve learnt over this season, anything is possible when it comes to Murray.

Prediction: Murray in straight sets.
