Playing styles and prediction

Davidovich Fokina is one of the most charismatic tennis players on the tour with the Spaniard willing to put his body on the line at any cost to extend rallies and win gruelling points. Despite the Spaniard’s inconsistent end to the season, Davidovich Fokina’s style can cause problems to any player on any day.

Evans will need be patient throughout the match and pick his moment to attack with the serve being the key to the match. Both players’ form have been patchy for the second half of the season so both players will want to build momentum heading into the second half of the season. The Brit’s overall tactical variety should have enough here providing he can cut down the errors.

Prediction: Evans in three sets.
