Playing styles and prediction

After missing the clay court swing, Berrettini made the perfect return to the tour as he defeated Andy Murray to win the Stuttgart title. The Italian’s big serve matched with a ferocious forehand is a deadly combination and will be hoping that he can repeat his success of last year and maybe go one better at Wimbledon this year.

Evans will look to be aggressive on serve and construct successful points to allow his slice to become a factor in the match. Fatigue for Berrettini may play a part with the second seed not playing much tennis in the last couple of months. When the two players played last year, Evans took the Italian to a tiebreak before ultimately losing in straight sets and a similar outcome is likely to happen again if Berrettini is on top form.

Prediction: Berrettini in straight sets.
