Tale of the Tape – Key Stats (2021 – Grass)

H2H: Cameron Norrie (WR 41) Matteo Berrettini (WR 9)
Tournament Previous Best R1 (2017-2019) Debut
1st Serve % 70.7 68.3
Service Games Won % 94.1 95.2
Break Points Saved % 87.5 83.3
2nd Serve Return Points Won % 49.5 45
Break Points Converted % 45 23.5

Despite some of the bombs that Berrettini has been serving, Norrie comes up a little sharper this week, and has been more effective saving break points and converting his chances – so Berrettini will need more than a few free points on serve.

Playing Styles & Prediction

The Italian already has a grass title to his name having won Stuttgart in 2019, so he knows he has the game to work on the surface. He has yet to drop a set this week.

Norrie started a little slower. Dropping. Set to Albert Ramos-Vinolas at the start of the week but since then has grown in confidence and battled hard agannst Denis Shapovalov to book a sport in another final.

Norrie will have to use all his movement, but Berrettini does have great coverage for such a big unit.

This will be a highly entertaining fight, and there is a real chance for Norrie to become the first British champion since Andy Murray at Queen’s.

Prediction: Norrie in three sets.
