Draper is more efficient on return with Giron looking to rely on his consistency in what will be a physical first match on clay for the British number one.

 

 

Playing Styles and Prediction

Giron has had a consistent start to the season with his best result coming in the fourth round of Indian Wells. The American has a physical and consistent game with clay suiting his consistency. However if Giron wants to thrive on the red dirt this year he will have to be more aggressive and look to force the issue as he aims for better results in 2025.

Draper will continue to be aggressive on serve and return as he will use the forehand to create depth and force Giron behind the baseline. The American will need to be aggressive on serve as he will approach the net to finish off points efficiently. This will be a physical opening match for Draper on clay but the Brit should have enough quality and confidence to come through this match.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
