Playing Styles and Prediction

After some disappointing form in the last month, Hurkacz has responded in style by beginning his clay court season with a title in Estoril. Now the world number eight will hope that this is a platform for bigger things as he aims for a positive clay court season heading into Wimbledon.

Draper use the forehand to dictate play and create angles in order to force Hurkacz into difficult positions in the court. Meanwhile Hurkacz will hope to keep up his efficiency on serve as he looks to neutralize Draper’s returning power. When the two players met last year, Hurkacz won in three tight sets and it could be the same outcome this year as a tight match is expected with Hurkacz having slightly more confidence at the moment.

Prediction: Hurkacz in three sets.
