LYON, FRANCE – Cameron Norrie looks to build some last minute momentum towards Roland Garros as he begins his Lyon campaign against Francisco Cerundolo.

After a disappointing loss to Marin Cilic in Rome, Cameron Norrie is looking to build some momentum towards the second grand slam of the year and first up in Lyon is Miami Open semi-finalist Francisco Cerundolo.

Playing styles and prediction

Cerundolo broke through in Miami this year where he reached the semi-finals, beating Gael Monfils and Frances Tiafoe on the way. However Cerundolo hasn’t achieved great success so far this clay court season, earning only three wins on the European clay so far and will look to improve that in Lyon this week ahead of Roland Garros.

Norrie will look to be aggressive and use his serve to construct effective points with the Argentinian struggling in the pressure moments. The Brit’s variety in pace and spin should be too much for Cerundolo in this contest as Norrie looks to show why he is the top seed this week.

Prediction: Norrie in straight sets.
