Playing styles and prediction

Since reaching the Hong Kong final at the start of the year, Ruusuvuori has endured a nightmare season having won only two matches since March. The 25 year-old has lacked consistency and confidence on serve and will be hoping that his best tennis ahead of him as he aims to climb back up the rankings.

Norrie will aim to be aggressive on serve as he aims for a mixture of depth and variety to force shorter balls from Ruusuvuori. Meanwhile Ruusuvuori will aim to dictate play on his forehand and will aim for powerful returning in order to rush Norrie’ play and force errors from the Brit’s game. It should be a tough match for Norrie given his lack of confidence but he should enough quality to win a tight opener.

Prediction: Norrie in three sets.
