Broady is the more consistent player on return but will need to be wary of Krutykh’s big first serve.
Playing styles and prediction
The Ukrainian has had a decent start to the year having qualified for the Australian Open in January. Krutykh has a big serve and a decent baseline game that can cause players problems on a hard court and the 22 year-old will look to build on that over the rest of the season as he aims for a place in the top 100.
Broady will look to be the dominant player on serve as he looks to make as many first serves as possible and dictate play on the backhand. Krutykh will look to do the same but will need to make deep forehand shots in order to neutralise Broady’s return game. This should be a good match for Broady to get an ATP win and get his ranking to rise with the Brit having a stronger all-round game than the Ukrainian.
