Playing styles and prediction
Hijikata has had some good performances to start the season but in the big moments has lacked the cutting edge needed to gain victories. Now the Australian is looking to get more wins on the board as he aims to climb the rankings and earn some momentum on one of his strongest surfaces.
Broady will be aggressive on serve as he aims to put Hijikata on the back foot and will look to dominate play on the forehand. Meanwhile the Australian will look to finish points off at the net as he will use variety to force errors from the Brit. This should be a good test for Broady especially given the fact he hasn’t played competitive tennis in a while. However if Broady can get his aggressive and confident tennis going early on then he should come through this match.
Prediction: Broady in three sets.
