CINCINNATI, USA – After an early exit in Canada, Jack Draper will need to bounce back against Jaume Munar in Cincinnati as the Brit’s US Open preparations continue.

Jack Draper will need to bounce back from his round one defeat in Canada to Jordan Thompson as the US Open approaches and the Brit’s mission to do that starts against Jaume Munar in Cincinnati.

Draper will hope to take advantage of his clinical returning this season as his patience will be tested against the consistency of Munar.

 

 

Playing Styles and Prediction

Since his run to the final at the Aix en Provence Challenger, Munar has struggled for consistent form with the Spaniard only winning five matches since that tournament in May. However two of those wins have come in qualifying at Cinicinnati and now Munar will aim to capitalize on his momentum to score a big victory and seal his first main draw win since Wimbledon.

Draper will need to be clinical on return as he looks to punish any short second serves coming from Munar. Meanwhile the Spaniard will be consistent and aim to use depth to push Draper behind the baseline. As long as Draper minimizes his unforced errors and has the stamina to compete then the Brit should claim victory against tricky opposition.

Prediction: Draper in three sets.
