Playing styles and prediction
Musetti has been in consistent form over the last few months as he continued to implement his explosive game on the tour. The last time the Italian failed to win back-to-back matches at a tour event was in Madrid four months ago and Musetti will look to carry that form into this week as he fancies his chances at having another deep Grand Slam run.
Evans will look to construct the point using variety and depth to force the unforced errors from Musetti as he looks to be more efficient on return. Meanwhile Musetti looks to be more effective on serve using the wide serve to create simple winners into the open court. This should be an entertaining match with both players having belief in their game but Musetti’s consistency makes him slight favourite heading into this match.
