Evans won’t change too much from their meeting in Montreal last week but will need to be wary of Krajinovic’s efficiency on break points.
Playing styles and prediction
Krajinovic would have been disappointed to have lost in the way he did against Evans, but there was lots to be positive about for the Serb as he looks to gain confidence. Krajinovic’s powerful groundstrokes from the baseline mixed with intelligent court awareness can prove to be a threat for any player on the tour.
Evans will look to implement similar tactical ideas as last week but will need to be more aggressive on his serve to prevent Krajinovic from being aggressive on return. Meanwhile the Serb will hope for a little more consistency on serve as he hopes to give Evans more problems to solve. It should be a good test for Evans especially given how much energy he spent in Montreal. This will be a tighter match but the Brit’s confidence should get him over the line in this match.
Prediction: Evans in three sets.
