Playing styles and prediction

Schwartzman has had a rollercoaster ride of a season but knows how to play on a hard court having been a former US Open quarter-finalist. The Argentinian plays a counter-attacking game which sees him find angles that very few players can find with his serve being the main area of improvement over the last few years.

Evans will change the pace of the rallies and serve accurately if he wants to win this match with this being a battle of two out-of-form players. However lately it has been Schwartzman who has been able to find more consistency when it matters most which gives him the edge. Should Evans serve high percentages and be bold in the big moments then the Brit could find a confidence-boosting win ahead of the US Open.
