Playing styles and prediction
De Minaur has had a successful last few months having reached the finals in Los Cabos and Toronto by playing some impressively consistent tennis. Now the Australian will look to end the season strongly as he looks to break into the world’s top ten.
Murray will need to be aggressive on serve as he aims to deny the Australian any opportunity to attack the Brit’s serve. Meanwhile De Minaur will look to be aggressive from the baseline and come into the net at the right opportunities in order to take time away from the Brit. This should be a good physical test for Murray but recent results would suggest that the three-time Grand Slam champion lacks the power to really trouble De Minaur.
Prediction: De Minaur in three sets.
