Alcaraz’s dip in form since the US Open means Draper has been the more effective player in all areas this season but the Brit will be aware of the world number one’s quality in the big moments.
Playing Styles and Prediction
As expected Alcaraz has struggled since winning the US Open and becoming world number one as he deals with the expectation and pressure on his shoulders at 19 years old. The Spaniard will now look to pick up his form ahead of the Nitto ATP Finals in a few weeks time.
Draper will need to serve well and continue to be consistent from the baseline with his effortless power. Alcaraz will look to make this a physical match with Draper still struggling physically as shown in his match against Hubert Hurkacz in Antwerp. This is a match that could be a taster of a future rivalry on the ATP and at the moment Alcaraz’s development is further than Draper’s with the expectation being that this match might come too soon for the Brit.
