Playing styles and prediction

Mannarino has had a consistent start to the season and in his last two ATP events has lost to the eventual champion. However the Frenchman will be looking to make some deep runs in big tournaments soon as he looks to elevate his ranking inside the world’s top 50 before his favourite time of year which is on grass.

Norrie will look to use consistent depth and pace to prevent Mannarino from changing up the pace of rallies with his slice. The Frenchman will look to use variety to disrupt Norrie’s rhythm and gain control from the baseline. The main question will be how much Norrie has left in the tank to make a deep run in Mexico but if the Brit can bring a consistent level then he should have too much for the eccentric Frenchman.

Prediction: Norrie in three sets.
