WTA Palermo
- Last seed standing, No. 4 Anett Kontaveit will face unseeded Fiona Ferro for the first title since the tour ground to a halt in the face of a continuing global pandemic.
- Kontaveit toppled the top seed Petra Martic in straight sets (6-2 6-4) to advance to a third career clay court final. She will be bidding for a second WTA level title (having won Den Bosch in 2017)
- Italian hopes were dashed when France’s Ferro ousted Camila Giorgi 2-6 6-2 7-5 to reach a second career WTA Final, coming back from a set down.
