Tournament Results & Quick Hits – WTA Dubai
- The Queen of comebacks Daria Kasatkina did it again as she battled hard from a set down in a second set tie-break to grab the momentum and to reach the Dubai final. Coming into the semi-final she had spent 392 minutes on court!
- By contrast, Angelique Kerber had spent the least amount of time on court (197 minutes coming into the semi-final) but she looked unsettled from the start of her match and her losing streak against Elina Svitolina stretched to four on the bounce.
- Svitolina is attempting to defend a title for the second time in her career (Baku 2013-14) and could become the third woman behind Justine Henin (2003-04) and Venus Williams (2009-10) to defend the title.
